Emerica HSU 2 Fusion Skate Shoe

Jerry Hsu previously designed one of my favorite shoes of all time, but now he has come out with a new model that is somehow lighter, more comfortable, flexible and durable. I didn’t think it was possible but with the release of the Emerica Hsu 2 Fusion, Jerry Hsu has really outdone himself. His new model of skate shoes is built using STI Fusion Technology, in which the outsole, midsole, and upper are fused together to create an unbreakable bond that has a vulcanized look. And like his first shoe, it’s a mid-top. Jerry says that his ankles feel safer with a mid-top because he doesn’t like his ankles to be exposed. And it makes sense, with this mid-top your ankles are more secure and have less risk in rolling them. I should start wearing more mid-tops because I’ve torn the ligaments in my ankle a few times skating. Jerry’s new skate shoe also includes a thin padded tongue and collar and STI PU Foam™ Lite level 3 foot-bed for extra comfort. There is even an optional hidden lace flap so you won’t rip your laces. This shoe is amazing, and everyone who skates needs to try it out.

Emerica Hsu Low Skate Shoe

The original Jerry Hsu pro model was a mid-top, but it has just been rereleased as a low. I have had many pairs of the original Hsu and loved them, but now that they’re a low-top I think I may like them even better. It was designed, tested, and approved by Jerry Hsu. It is available with suede or canvas uppers, I recommend the suede. The Hsu Low Skate Shoe is very durable and extremely flexible, making it an amazing skate shoe. It features a thin padded tongue and collar, as well as a full-length internal polyurethane midsole, making it very comfortable. It also includes the STI PU Foam™ Lite level 3 foot-bed, and the double-wrapped vulcanized construction with a 400 NBS natural gum rubber outsole. I can’t wait to get a pair of these for myself.

Emerica The SZA Skate Shoe

Braydon Szafranski’s new pro model skate shoe is out now and like Braydon, his shoe stands out in a crowd. His new pro model is called The SZA, and is a lot less big and bulky than his last shoe. Braydon Szafranski really did a good job designing a shoe that matched his personality while also looking nice and being good to skate in. The SZA is a vulcanized skate shoe that features the STI Foam Lite level 1 foot-bed and 400 NBS natural gum rubber outsole. It has a padded tongue and collar, making it very comfortable. The SZA also features an attractive removable strap, a zipper that makes it easier to slip in and out of, and a hidden stash pocket where you can keep a key or anything else. The SZA is an all-around good skate shoe.

Emerica Vino Skate Shoe

The Emerica Wino Skate Shoe is a very comfortable and simple shoe. This is a great every day shoe to hang out in. It might not be the best shoe to skate in, but it does look and feel good on your feet. The Wino is very low profile with an extremely slight heel. It is also very flexible and its’ comfort comes from the cushy STI Foam™ Lite level 1 foot-bed. The outsole is vulcanized and made of the 400 NBS natural gum rubber to provide great grip. This shoe comes in suede and canvas. If you plan to skate these shoes I strongly recommend buying the ones made from suede, because the canvas will tare quickly if skated. All in all it’s a great shoe to hang out in that still has a skate shoe feel to it.

Emerica Reynolds Cruisers Skate Shoe

First let me just tell you that these shoes are usually $70.00, but right now they are on sale right now for only $36.95! Now let me tell you why you need to jump on this right now. The Emerica Reynolds Cruisers are kind of like the Vans Classics that everyone always wears, except way better! Andrew Reynolds wanted some ultra-slim, low profile boat shoes to skate and chill in, and the Cruisers are the result. It’s a very simple, very stylish shoe that won’t get trashed and ripped up the first time you skate them. The Reynolds Cruisers Skate Shoe features the STI Foam full-length System G2 foot-bed inside of its’ vulcanized outsole. They are pretty much amazing. If you don’t trust me, watch the video below to see Andrew Reynolds himself tell you why they are the best. He designed them. ........................

Emerica Reynolds Classic Skate Shoe

This shoe is sick! Inspired by the Reynolds 2, The Emerica Reynolds Classics Skate Shoe is exactly the name it’s been given; classic. It’s an all-around good skate shoe that looks just as good as it skates. The Reynolds Classic is an awesome low-top with a nice padded tongue and collar. Designed by the boss; Andrew Reynolds, The Classic has a Full-length internal polyurethane midsole and STI PU Foam™ Lite level 3 foot-bed. It is made out of suede, because that’s the best material to make a skate shoe out of, and is also perforated on the tongue piece to get some air to those smelly feet. And if it weren’t good enough already, the 400 NBS natural gum rubber outsole is made from double-wrapped vulcanized construction. This shoe is it. If you you’ve never owned this shoe before, you need to pick one up today.

Emerica Westgate Skate Shoe

At first glance it seems to be modeled after the Hsu, but then you realize that there are a lot of key differences. The Emerica Westgate skate shoe is a stylish mid-top to help support your ankles. It has a triple stitched toe piece and a 400 NBS natural gum rubber outsole to help it last longer and get the perfect amount of friction for your flip tricks. The Westgate features a comfortable thin padded tongue and collar, and is also infused with STI Fusion Technology. This means that the outsole, midsole, and upper are fused together to creating an unbreakable bond with a vulcanized look that's lighter, more comfortable, flexible and durable. Being Brandon Westgate’s first pro model, this shoe really came out nicely. It’s great for shedding the hills of San Francisco to the streets of New York, as Brandon shows us in this amazing new video.

Emerica G-CODE Bryan Herman Skate Shoe

The Emerica G-CODE is the third shoe model designed by Bryan Herman and is definitely one of my favorite skate shoes of all time. This is a thinner, low-profile shoe that skates exactly like you want it to and looks great with shorts or jeans. The laces are specially placed so your grip-tape won’t rip them, and the swede used in the one-piece seamless toe is extremely durable. The G-CODE features a distinctively shaped G2™ Six Shooter heel pad system so you won’t bruise your heel going down those big stair sets. It also has a 400 NBS natural rubber cup-sole equipped with Non-Slip Desert Grip™ so you’re stance will stay sturdy and help you catch your flip tricks.

Emerica Reynolds 3 Skate Shoe

We all know how talented Andrew Reynolds is at not only skating, but designing awesome products as well. In Reynolds’ third shoe with Emerica, he really out did himself. With the first skate shoe with a vulcanized outsole to also include heel protection technology, this shoe is amazing! If you’re jumping down big stair sets, then the G2™ gel insert is a must-have to keep your heels from bruising. The Reynolds 3 also features a padded tongue and collar making them super comfy, and a hidden lace option so you won’t have to replace your laces every day. Also, for a lite shoe it is surprisingly durable so you’ll be able to skate these shoes for a while. They are overall a great shoe that just makes me want to skate harder when I’m wearing them. If you’ve never skated them before, you must try them out today!

Globe shoes

So as I've stated once before Globe skate shoes are pretty dope but what I failed to mention in my last post is all of the awesome technology tossed into globes bulkier shoes, although they don't look it, I've tried them and I must admit I'm a little biased towards larger shoes. However, these things feel like Straight up moon shoes, they give a ridiculous amount of leverage and have tons of material for when I footbrake down Super fat hills. Also for as bulky as they are they're super flexible and very breathable, I've never had that choked off, hot and sweaty feeling in these shoes and they feel flat out amazing, if you like bigger shoes go for globe hands down!

Globe shoes

I have only personally ridden through one pair of globes but since the majority are a bit bulkier than what I'm looking for the Motley's they make are AWESOME they're not super padded so heavy flip trickin' can be rough on em but they absorb shock really well and have really awesome traction, and are super breathable. In fact now that I think about it I have no clue what I'm talking about globe shoes are amazing, haha. I just rip through shoes like a mad man.

When you're not skating these shoes are awesome to wear around casually because they feel pre-worn in since they're just so flexible and surprisingly durable, they lasted me about a month before they hit my shoe morgue and would've lasted longer had I not rode them in the rain so much. If you enjoy super thin shoes with low profiles definitely pick up a pair of these. Globe also has some pretty awesome shoes for those of you that dig bulkier shoes that I'm sure you wouldn't be tearing through too terribly quick considering how durable the Motley's were.

Fallen Skate shoes

Well Fallen skate shoes have definitely strived to set themselves apart from most other skate shoes. Although I've only burned through a couple pairs, I was quite impressed with the chiefs and my Forte's Which are their most popular shoes out right now, they have a really comfy insole although I had to use my extra insoles because I have really crusty feet and pretty ridiculous arches, but they do absorb impact well and no matter how gross my feet have gotten on long rides they've never started smelling (the shoes at least).

Mine have held up wonderfully in fact my Chief's are actually still good and I had them for a good 2 months (Which is way longer than most shoes last me haha). Also the mid tops don't crush or fold as bad as most mid tops or wear from slipping when throwing them on without laces so if you're a mid top fan I would say ride with Fallens. If something catches your eye pick a pair up, I recommend them as my Chiefs and Fortes will always have a special place in my shoe collection.

Etnies skate shoes

Etnies Skate shoes have been around for quite some time and for a reason. They're a straight up skate shoe. I actually have foot problems something fierce and normally I have to throw in extra insoles to make sure I don't jack up my feet but I've never had to when I've worn Etnies. So if you're looking for a pair of shoes you can thrash without thrashing your feet then be sure to grab a pair of these suckers! Not only do these shoes do the job for skating but they're really making a difference compared to most shoes because Etnies usually tries using recycled materials which the trees are sure to thank you for.

Etnies Shoes

Etnies shoes are another amazing line that have only disappointed me once, and once only. I unfortunately just got a bad shoe and I sent it in and they replaced it immediately, they seem to have a pretty good policy if you're unfortunate enough to pick up a janky shoe. Beside that though Etnies creates some real works of art that are not only super comfy on your tootsies but will hold up to any beating you can throw at em.

Etnies has come quite some way in fact some of the shoes are a part of their buy a shoe plant a tree collection, every shoe made (which are eco friendly) they plant a tree. Since so much of the Rainforest has been destroyed due to farming these past couple of years Etnies has been making an effort to help out and keep the forests looking nice, if they seem like something you'd rock, I'd say grab one of these just for the cause but other than that, be sure to look around, Etnies has a ton of styles and colors which are pretty much the only deciding factor in getting one of these amazingly crafted shoes.

Emerica Skate shoes

Emerica trys their best to branch out and come up with some stylish casual shoes and have something you can flip on and off, but to be honest, they really shine when they stick to their roots. Their skate shoes are phenomenal and I've never had a problem with them unlike a lot of other brands which seem to just unseem, or have soles fall out, stitching tear apart like paper in a shredder, or have to constantly tie to together my poorly protected laces.

Not only are Emerica skate shoes amazingly durable but with most of their slim designs which although unfortunate for you really wide footed people make it so your have more board feel, think really disgustingly stylish callouses on your feet but still maintain a perfect amount of padding to keep you from hurting your feet, and you're never going to find a moccasin status shoe that keeps your feet feelin' like they just got back from a motel 6 with Megan Fox which in my eyes is exactly what Emerica delivers in almost all of their shoes, at least their true skate shoes. If you love your feet as much as you love the sport be sure to give our Emerica's a look and I'm sure we won't dissapoint, there's something for everyone.

Emerica Shoes

Oh lord, Spring or not, these shoes are for ANY time of year, and by any time I mean right now. I haven't tried all of these shoes but the Hsu is my all time favorite shoes and I've burnt through a fair share of Reynolds, Jinxes, and Romeros. I also have yet to be dissapointed and if you don't know the brand at all you definitely need to pick up a pair, just find something that LOOKS like something you'd normally wear and I near guarantee you'll like them more than most other skate shoes.

Almost all Emerica shoes are decked out with really high tech insoles that reduce odor, wick sweat, vent well, conform to your feet, and absorb shock amazingly. Most are really well padded as well and the only one's I've had a problem with padding wise are the Winos but they're more of a casual shoe. I love that they try to create a shoe that's stylish and slim as well as be amazingly comfortable, take tons of abuse, and keep you from wanting to do handstands around school because you can't take walking around on your bruised and blistered feet. Pick and pair up and fall in love.

Skate shoes?

Well, it's spring time again, and we know how much all of you skate folk love your shoes so we took some initiative and went out and ordered all of the hot new skate shoes from some of the top skate shoe brands such as Lakai, Globe, DVS, DC, Etnies, Adio, Emerica, Es, Etc. (If I named them all we'd never get on with the rest of the post). Let me tell you, I just got my new Emerica Low cut Hsu's and there's nothing like some new skate shoes to skate in.

Not only are most of these shoes hot and new but a lot of brands have gone to new lengths to make more eco friendly shoes such as Ipath and habitat with their hemp/bio shoes and water based glues. As well as more durable and less bulky constructions like my Hsu's for example which are triple stitched and although look like a slim shoe are actually quite padded and have an amazing insole that keep my shoes from smellin', feet from sweating, heels from bruising, and most importantly they're comfortable as all get out, look around for your favorite brand and find something that looks nice in a color you like and I'm sure whatever you find you'll be sure to love.
